Karim Benzema 67' Goal v. Switzerland

In the 67th minute, Karim Benzema made a precognitive run on the three defenders in his area to find himself in the right place to scissor through the keepers legs for his third goal of the tournament, putting him even with Müller, van Persie and Robben in his campaign for the golden boot.

Mathieu Valbuena 40' Goal v. Switzerland

After the penalty to penalty through ball from, I believe, Varane, Olivier Giroud took two touches to find the ground ball across the face of goal and set up Mathieu Valbuena 40th minute goal, leaving France over Switzerland by the goals, while it well could have been different.
Djourou gave away a silly penalty to Karim Benzema, which he failed to capitalize on and what's worse that Cabaye put back off the crossbar.
The Swiss also had chances, not least a goal that I was utterly ready to see count, called off at the last.
Benzema failed to catch up, so far with the leaders in the golden boot chase but three of his countrymen have now made the list and it stands this way now:
Müller Germany 3
Robben Netherlands 3
v. Persie Netherlands 3
Neymar Brazil 2

Olivier Giroud 17' Goal & Blaise Matuidi 18' Goal v. Switzerland

Off a corner curling away from goal, Olivier Giroud came up on a great header across the keeper, who got a hand on it, but couldn't keep it a 17th minute goal. Only 67 seconds later, off a bad pass by the defender Karim Benzema assisted Blaise Matuidi to an 18th minute second goal. Benzema's pass was a little wide and left Matuidi a hard angle, but he found the unwatched space at the near post.
These two first goals leave the tally as such:

Bryan Ruiz 44' Goal v. Italy

I missed this goal in its moment, but have watched it more than once later. Junior Díaz put a long cross in from beyond the box and Bryan Ruiz caught the ball with a beautiful header that caught the crossbar and bounced in over the line. Costa Rica, statistically placed to be the whipping boy of this group, the only country in the group without a prior World Cup championship, is poised to go through on top of this group.
It's also important to note that they have for goals from for different goal scorers, none of which is Junior Díaz, the only of their outfield players who pays in a major world league.
This leaves us with this tally in the race for the golden boot:
Müller Germany 3
Robben Netherlands 3
v. Persie Netherlands 3
